Fishing Time

Chimney Smoke abstract
9x5.5 mixed media on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done this afternoon on what was a doodle test sheet. I had put green, red, and black Brusho marks along with watercolors then while adding more lines decided it needed black India ink graffiti/calligraphy to pull it together.

Abandoned Farmhouse
11.5x17 watercolor on 140 lb. Saunders cold press, an imaginary scene using negative painting. The country farmhouse is from a photo of one I took in Colorado City years ago. Even though the house is abandoned the flowers still bloom and the grass grows.

Geranium Row

Early Spring Abstract
12x9 mixed media design on 140 lb Grumbacher paper, a sheet that was used under my smaller artwork to catch drips, etc. Done last week, I embellished these markings to make a unique abstract using watercolor, acrylics, acrylic ink, gel pen. After I finished two courses in beginner abstract and master class taught by Yvette St. Amant, I am thrilled that she asked me to show it on her website along with a testimonial.
