Moonglow Crow
9x7 watercolor using Daniel Smith's Moonglow pigment for background, bird, and trees. Mixed with sepia and indigo by White Nights, this combo made a moody painting. It is done on Master's Touch sketchbook 80 lb paper and was rendered last week.

Thirsty Bluetit Bird
6x6 watercolor and Brusho done last week of a thirsty blue tit or bluetit bird. I've used this same photo and painted the bird larger the first time. I wanted to see how Brusho would do on 80 lb sketchbook paper by Masters Touch.

Northern Flicker in Spring

Nuthatch in Tree ~ day 9 of 30 paintings in 30 days challenge
8.5x5.5 watercolor and ink (Pigma Micron 01 pen) on Masters sketchbook d rawn yesterday and painted today, which is day 9 of Leslie Saeta's challenge. Artists participating pledge to post one painting per day the entire month with the 31st day allowing a compilation gallery post. It has been awhile since featuring birds so I was anxious to finish it.

Cup and Saucer Bird
5.5x8.5 watercolor on paper done last week while in the mountains over a 2 day quick visit. This bird, a jay, is eating from a china cup and saucer birdfeeder someone made and I thought was very sweet.
