Border Town

14x10 watercolor on Stonehenge 140 lb hot press paper, an imaginary scene done Sunday while in the southwest on a brief trip. The hot sun is a major player in these border towns along with the dust and a lot of people out shopping.

French Village Street

8x6 watercolor and ink on paper in my new Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook.  The townscape is a scene featured on the current weekend drawing event on WetCanvas in which participants have 2 hours to select an image (courtesy of shadoe) then paint it.  I've added two figures lower right walking into the composition versus the original reference that had a person walking out.

Buenos Aires cityscape

11x8 watercolor cityscape, an online lesson I finished tonight taught by Fernando Pena, an awesome painter and good friend.  With loose washes on wet paper, a town scene and its people quickly came together from his ref photo.  Now it is time to post it for him to see.  It was sooooo hard not to put in all the detail I love.  See Fernando's youtube videos HERE.
