Mid January Snow

8x8 watercolor using White Nights paints done a few days ago while on a trip to New Mexico where there was snow. Unlike west Texas wind and sand the white stuff was a welcome sight (even though not much had fallen). In this imaginary winter landscape I have painted wet in wet for the blended sky and used mostly burnt sienna, UB, and quin gold for a fairly neutral toned scene. COPYRIGHT Kay Smith 2026
