Chilly Chickadee
4x3 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Grumbacher paper painted last month that has been gifted (not available). I used a marked up paper used to put small works on to catch drips. These marks were ignored as pencil sketch completed then painted for a unique effect.

Northern Cardinal on Icy Branches
6x6 watercolor on 80 lb Masters Touch paper in sketchbook, done in pencil last week then painted with Daniel Smith and American Journey paints. Cardinals are still outside in the berry bushes here.

Steller's Jay in Snow
5.5x8.5 watercolor sketched and painted last weekend after seeing this fellow foraging for food in the snowy mountains.
I like the contrast of his dark brownish black head against the white.
