Sangria Flower

10.5x4 alcohol inks on white freezer/deli paper done this afternoon using only one color ink, Sangria, and one green, Lettuce, for the stem and leaves.

Overblown Rose

2.5x3.5 alcohol inks on foamcore done this afternoon using only one red, Sangria, and one green, Lettuce inks.  This is how my roses look now due to the hot weather and high winds beating them to death.  See actual size below.

Summer Poppies

6.5x13 alcohol inks on white freezer paper completed today.  What started out Sunday afternoon as a seascape ended up a garden scene of red poppies which I like much better.

Giraffes Grazing

7x10 mixed watermedia collage on Canson mixed media paper. Drawn with an orange Magic colored pencil, then a fast underpainting with transparent pyrrol orange/quinacridone gold watercolors was done.  When dry, I added brown and quin burnt orange patterns with some green, then the bg foliage.  After that dried I used brown torn tissue paper that had small squares and a giftwrap paper featuring colored circles, adhered with matte medium.  Lastly, I used a blue Magic pencil to make calligraphy marks in bg trees and bushes.

Foxgloves House Garden

22X15 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Saunders paper, an imaginary foxgloves and assorted flowers house garden.  The house was from another photo taken in east Texas.
