Icy Onset of Winter

8x4.5 watercolor and white wax crayon on Saunders 300 lb paper done today when all was icy outside.  This imaginary scene shows frosty trees along a riverbank with snow visible in the middle ground and foreground.  Colors used:  Periwinkle, raw and burnt umber, sepia, Mint Julep, indigo, burnt sienna.Image COPYRIGHT 2015 Kay Smith.
