11x6 watercolor on Italia Magnani 140 lb cold press paper finished yesterday of my ripening tomatoes on the vine. I might pick the green one, slice it thinly, then fry it.

Green and Red Tomatoes
2.5x3.5 watercolor vegetable still life of two tomatoes sharing a single stem. This miniature was drawn and painted today on Canson 140 lb cold press paper and is an ACEO art card (Artists Cards Editions & Originals). I like to use complementary colors such as red and green together in a composition for a really energized color burst.

Tomato Time
5.5x8 watercolor drawn from life yesterday using Pigma Micron 03 pen on Strathmore Visual Journal paper. I had bought a couple of vine tomatoes so drew those two then added the other three at random as if they all had joined stems.

Orchard Fresh Tomatoes
11x15 Caran D'Ache watersoluble crayons on Fabriano hot press 140 lb paper, drawn today and painted with about half of my strokes blended with water. It has been awhile since doing stick watermedia and I love the vivid hues of the crayons.
