Barn Sunset
7x9 watercolor on Masters Touch 80 lb paper done last week or so ago from one of my many barn reference photos. Here the sun is slowly going down on the country farm landscape and its light can be seen through the open spaces in the barn's frame.

Tall Red Barn in Snow
8.5x5.5 watercolor using White Nights paints in Masters Touch sketchbook done a few days ago from one of my many barn references. I like this tall red barn perched high amid the snowfall, a working barn waiting for Christmas.

Backcountry Barn
12x9 watercolor on Fluid 140 lb cold press paper, an imaginary country scene of a rundown old barn. The rocky landscape foreground was fun to paint wet in wet in layers as was the middle ground. The fence is still up so suppose someone is running cattle. Storm clouds are building up overhead. When dry, splattering was done for textural effects.

Barnwood
9x12 watercolor on Fluid 140 lb cold press paper done over the weekend of an old decaying and dilapidated barn that was once some farm's pride and joy. Barns as a subject are the icons of farm life and can tell so many stories if only they could talk.
