Sarah the Bulldog

5.5x8.5 watercolor and ink on Bienfang for mixed media sketchbook done today.  Our WetCanvas challenge was to select an image and do a contour line drawing of it then paint it all within 2 hours. I accomplished the goal in 1 hour/10 minutes.

Staedtler 0.3 pigment liner pen, an ink contour line and some blind contour line of Sarah, the bulldog.

Sleeping Bulldog

5.5x8.5 watercolor and ink (Micron 01 pen) on Masters sketchbook drawn over the weekend then painted today.  This imaginary sleeping bulldog looks so comfortable and content.  Background was palette mud made by mixing all colors together for a warm grey.

Bulldog Mojo

11x15 watercolor and ink bulldog work in progress finished! Black India ink added some line to this loose pet portrait on Canson 140 lb cold press paper.  Mojo looks fierce with those huge jaws, dead on stare, and sharp incisors!
