Afternoon Trees
5x5 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done a few days ago as an exercise in shadows and distance. These three poplar trees are imaginary in this country summer landscape and I've varied the warm and cool tones throughout the leaves and shadows.

Running Horse
8.25x5.25 ink sketch along with Magic colored pencils multilead done a few days ago for another #InkTober day. I sketched the running wild horse outline with walnut ink on a chopstick then added colored pencil marks and a few marks of India ink over gessoed background in my junk grunge journal.

8x6 ink in Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook done earlier for one of the #InkTober2019 days in this month. The hammer was done from life as were the nails, and the blackest ones sketched with a chopstick dipped in India ink.
