Injured ~ #InkTober2019 Day 29

8.25x5.25 ink over watercolor background for today's prompt 'injured' for #InkTober2019 day 29; photo courtesy Sktchy.  I enjoyed this guy with a leafy twig hanging out his right ear, a headwrap of Ace bandage, tattered tee shirt, and a plant stem sticking up in front.  Both his eyes are scary and partially focused so he must have had a run in with a lawn mower.  Uniball Vision Elite pen to sketch and India ink for hair and beard.

Horned Toad

5.5x7.5 watercolor on Lanaquarelle 140 lb hot press paper done over the weekend for the Facebook page All Animals Watercolor.  A prompt word for this week was TOAD so I chose the lowly, much aligned west Texas critter known here as a horny toad we don't see many of anymore.  They feast on red ants so I've stopped killing the those and the horned toads have come back around my studio at least.
