Peace Rose Garden Classic

12x9 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done a few days ago from one of my rose photos. French horticulturist Francis Meilland develped the Peace rose and sent cuttings to friends around the world as Germany invaded France. This beautiful rose was given its name when peace was declared on VE Day in 1945. It has since become a garden classic. May peace be in your minds and hearts as we celebrate this season of Christ's birth, and peace on earth, goodwill to all men. COPYRIGHT 2020 Kay Smith
