Autumn Afternoon Trees ~ first day of fall
5x5 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done yesterday as an exercise in shadows and distance. These three poplar trees are imaginary in this country landscape for the first day of autumn, and I've varied the warm and cool tones throughout the leaves and shadows.
