Kingbird Threesome
4x6 watercolor and ink using STA Lictin 0.3 pen on Grumbacher 140 lb cold press paper I'd been using under smaller work to catch drips done today. I like how abstract marks such as these random colors support a more realistic subject as the kingbird. Birds were sketched in pen then minimal color using Payne's grey, sepia, and indigo for the darks; barbed wire fence they are on was painted with burnt sienna and quinacridone burnt sienna.
