20x16 watercolor on 140 lb cold pressed paper, American Journey paints. Although from age 5 it seems I spent most years growing up in a western saddle, I don't believe I had ever painted one. Horses, yes, but not all the accoutrements that go along on dusty trails. (Photo courtesy Deb/WetCanvas)

Kay, This is wonderful. Seems a departure from your normally more vivid color palette. Each style - equally delightful!
This is great, Kay. Please tell me you didn't do this one without a drawing like so many of your paintings.
Wow Kay, this is amazing maze of strings leather and buttons. I love how you pointed out details yet made a very good wash for the background.
Thanks,
Irina
Nope, I definitely took a long time to draw it, and for sure it was difficult because I am a colorist and not a value painter. Thanks everyone for looking and for commenting.
