22x30 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Saunders paper.  This grouping of different sunflowers was growing by a fence in Ruidoso, NM, that I photographed years ago, painted, then SOLD.Image is COPYRIGHT 2016 Kay Smith.

Boy oh Boy, do I wish you had a print of this. I probably couldn't have afforded the actual painting anyway, but I just saw this on Daily Painters and swooped in to see if I could purchase, and .... Too Late!!

I so love this amazing piece -- you've captured the REAL brilliancy of a late summer or fall sky and the flowers. Thank you for creating this work!

Thank you gadfly2011 for commenting. Due to the popularity of this piece I am painting a new version today, so do keep watching the blog or Daily Painters!

I like that this gate has swinging doors too. Its a little different but yet has a very natural feel and blends in with the landscaping that surrounds it.picket fence
