Party of Two - mixed media collage/rework

BEFORE - collage on matboard

AFTER

Today I took the top piece of collaged papers on matboard, drew two crows, then painted them in black gesso, let dry and reworked into a hopefully better one.  I used Liquitex acrylics, stamping with bubble wrap, scraping with credit card and covering most with glazes letting only a small amount of the original show.  Its size is 14.5 x 21.75 done in 1.5 hours.  Let me know what you think!

I am amazed...just found your blog...I am venturing into mixed media more deeply...I was always a bit wussy and like your style.
The transformation and repurposing of a piece of art so dramatically is inspiring...I need to learn to let go of the original idea I can see.

Thank you,

Thanks Diana, glad you like it and you too, Candy. Siggio, good to know you are stretching with your art. This is not that hard to do. Just have to forget what is there and draw a different subject. I do try to leave a bit of the original showing, but it does not always happen.
